This month (March 2018), the kids will be finishing their unit on the Last Supper—the final meal Jesus ate with his disciples before his arrest, trial and crucifixion.  At that meal, Jesus served the disciples by washing their feet and instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion, asking the disciples to eat and drink the bread and wine as a meal at which they remember him, and are linked to him.

The Bible Point that we want the kids to remember is, “Jesus wants us to follow his example.”  The Bible Treasure verse is, “For I have set you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.”  John 13:15.

Later this month, we’ll begin studying Psalm 23.   The main Bible point we want the kids to remember is, “God Loves Us Forever.”  The Bible treasure verses are Psalm 23:

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want;
    he makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters;
    he restores my soul.

He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil;
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff,
they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil,
my cup overflows.
Surely[e] goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
for ever.
