The congregation has opened its doors to the non-profit group Elevate. The mission of the group “is to address the root cause of high risk behavior through prevention, intervention and residential programming that focuses on drug and alcohol issues, mental health and delinquency.”
A family support group will be meeting here Wednesday morning. The group will work with family members dealing with a loved one who has a drug of alcohol issue. They’ll work with a trained Elevate facilitator who will provide education to help families understand the disease of addiction and how best to help their loved one—while reclaiming personal quality of life.
The program is free and open to the public, and family members can drop in as needed.
