We Journey With Christ During Holy Week

The last week of Jesus’ life on earth is a time to appreciate the pain, sacrifice, love and triumph   of Christ.

March 20th   The week begins with Palm Sunday, and Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and how those shouts of “Hosanna!” turned into shouts of “Crucify!”  During worship, there will be a procession of the palms, with the children of the congregation leading the way.  Worship is at 10:00 am.

March 24th, Maundy Thursday,  gives us the chance to follow Jesus from the Upper Room where he instituted the Last Supper, to the Garden of Gethsemane where he prayed to God for deliverance, to his arrest.  Holy Communion will be celebrated and the office of Tenebrae will be observed.  Worship begins at 7 pm.

March 25th, Good Friday, finds us remembering Christ’s passion—his suffering so we might gain God’s eternal mercy.  Worship begins at 7 pm.

March 27th, Easter Sunday, is always glorious as we remember again, that the tomb could not hold Christ.  He rose from the dead, and because he did, we have life, now and forever, with him.  The Celebration of the Resurrection begins with fellowship and the Easter Breakfast that will be served from 8 am until 9:30 am.  Worship begins at 10 am, and we’ll be celebrating the sacrament of Holy Communion.
